IRC Chair (Jan 2026 – present)
Association for Applied Sport Psychology, USA

Welcome to the AASP International Relations Committee (IRC)’s website!

After serving this Committee for six years, it is a true honor to step into the role of Chair in January 2026, following the outstanding leadership of Karen Lo. My academic and professional journey—from undergraduate studies in Psychology in Hawaiʻi to a Master’s degree in Sport & Performance Psychology in Colorado—has reinforced a core belief central to AASP: that growth as professionals and as humans is strengthened through collaboration, ethical practice, and global connection. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this community and to support excellence, integrity, and inclusion within our field.

The IRC brings together AASP sport psychology professionals from across the globe, representing diverse cultures and backgrounds, with a shared commitment to strengthening and connecting our field.

This website serves as an open resource for international members and colleagues, supporting those who study and practice sport psychology. Through biannual newsletters, we highlight voices from the international community, relevant research, emerging trends, and practical insights from scholars around the world.

With gratitude,
Barbora Kijasová
